Taiwan's biotechnology industry is characterized by its regional and special characteristics, and the scope of seeking talents is also very wide. This visit mainly leads students to visit related biotechnology companies to realize the current situation of the industry and the working environment. This will enable students to have a more comprehensive understanding of the industry after graduation, and to understand the needs of the industry and their own specialties, so as to enhance the competitiveness of students in employment.
Firstly, we visited Xinghui Pharmaceutical Company. Besides the special assistant who introduced the history, scale and future prospect of the organization, we also visited the raw material warehouse, quality control unit, analysis unit and R&D unit.
Then we visited the Whisky Factory, where we learned about the whole process of making whisky, the difference between different distillation equipment and their products, and also learned about the function of oak barrels, and finally tasted the whisky they produced.
Lastly, we visited the Orchid Garden, where the tour guide explained the time required from tissue culture to orchid blooming, as well as the environment and conditions of culture, so that students could understand the techniques and knowledge that may be required for the biotechnology part of the plant.
Through the environment and explanation, we hope that students can better understand the living environment of the workplace, and learn about their suitable career and interests at an early stage.
