Number of openings for direct admission to the Ph.D. program:2students(May be interchangeable with the quota for the regular entrance examination.) 

I. Eligibility Requirements:
(1) Current undergraduate students who are graduating this academic year (before July 31, 2026) have achieved excellent academic performance during their studies, and demonstrate research potential.
(2) Current master's students with excellent academic records and clear research potential.
Students who meet the above requirements must submit a “Research Proposal for Direct Pursuit of a Doctoral Degree” and obtain recommendations from at least two professors from their current or related departments.

II. Application Period and Process: 
1. Application Period: From December 15, 2025, to January 9, 2026.
2. Application Process: Eligible candidates should submit the following required documents to the Admissions Section of the Academic Affairs Office within the application period. 

Required Documents: Please arrange the documents in order using paper clips or binder clips, place them in an envelope, and write the applicant's name and the department on the outside of the envelope.

2. Academic transcript (including class ranking), covering courses up to the 114-1 semester. This must be submitted by February 6, 115 (Friday).
3. Curriculum vitae, Personal Statement, and additional Supporting Documents (such as research experience, achievements, or draft of papers).
4. Research proposal.
5. At least two letters of recommendation. 

III. Date of Oral Examination: Saturday, March 7, 2026

Notes: 1. Application dates and interview times are the same as for entrance examinations and will be subject to the official announcement from the university. 2. First-year academic performance for master's students will be based on the overall average of the first semester. 3. Required Documents: Please arrange the documents in order using paper clips or binder clips, place them in an envelope, and write the applicant's name and the department on the outside of the envelope., and submit them to the Registration Section of the Academic Affairs Office at Tzu Chi University. 4. The examination procedure: The unit will set up an examination team to examine the information and conduct an interview.
